Paul Lewis
Hi I’m Paul, and I’m a Mountaineering Instructor based near the Peak District.
I started climbing when my scout leader took him me a local quarry 27 long years ago, where I first caught the climbing bug. Since then, my climbing has taken me all over the world, but in my opinion a gritstone outcrop on a fine summers evening takes some beating!
I spend most of my time running my Mountain Guiding company Peak Mountaineering, and a fair bit of the year organising overseas expeditions.
I’m proud to be on the committee of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors, a Leading Practitioner of the Institute of Outdoor Learning (LPIOL) and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS).
I’m also a first aid trainer, mountain bike instructor and kayak coach. Like most of the people that visit Rock Climbing UK, I just love outdoor activities!
