Mammut releases a mountain safety app for the iphone

Mammut have just released their new ‘Safety’ iphone app, and at first glance it looks pretty cool.

Powder descents are a guaranteed source of endorphins – but they also inevitably involve risks. Avoiding accidents and ensuring rapid rescue, these are the guiding aims of the alpine specialist Mammut.

The improved Safety App will help you to effectively prepare for a tour before you set off and to avoid risks. The updated Safety App is available to download now. The main new features include a risk check, based on key risk factors such as level of danger, exposure and slope angle, as well as an SOS button to send the coordinates of your location by SMS.
