ASBO 2011 Results from Climb Newcastle

At 8:30pm the scores were in and finalists taken to isolation. Lining up in the girls final were reigning champion Joanne Quinan and 2009 champion Karin Magog, with them Libby Barrow (USA), Becky Good (who had made the long trip from The Climbing Hangar in Liverpool with fellow Merseysiders in Jean, their very small car) and 13 year old Sid Graham. The guys final looked equally as mouthwatering with 2009 winner Nigel Callender (IRE), Yorkshiremen Martin Smith and 16 year old Nathan Phillips, local boy Paul Carruthers and two more from Liverpool, Sean Hopkins and Ged Mac. It was set for an exciting final and with fore-mentioned blank canvas the wild problems created by Chris Graham (with tweaking and testing help from Suzan Dudink and Andy Big Pipes Porter – thanks guys) looked up for the challenge.
