About RCUK

Rock Climbing UK started out as the rock climbing blog of me, Gareth Hanson. I consider myself an amateur but very enthusiastic rock climber.

After a short time the blog became pretty popular, with the monthly visitor numbers running into the thousands.

Though the reader feedback was good, the growing audience left me feeling that I needed to provide a LOT more content and experience for the site to be really useful for rock climbers.

I turned to Twitter to draw attention to my plight and was fortunate enough to be offered help by some fantastic contributors. Here marks the beginning of the transition from personal blog to online rock climbing magazine!

Let’s make it clear from the very outset: Rock Climbing UK is not a big corporate magazine. What it is is a group of super enthusiastic rock climbers, writing and talking about rock climbing.

I’m always keen to hear your opinion (good or bad). If you feel you could do better, welcome aboard! I would love to include your content.
